About C.H.O.I.C.E

C.H.O.I.C.E. Chicago is a registered 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization founded in 2008 by three Loyola Academy students: Alex Amato, Will King, and Briggs King.

C.H.O.I.C.E. is an acronym standing for Computers Helping Optimize Inner City Education. 

In May of 2011, the members of the first class of C.H.O.I.C.E. graduated from high school. They passed on the leadership roles to Loyola students of the class of 2012. Among these students are William Bobrinskoy (President), Jack Gordon (Vice President), Lars Lopatka (Vice President), Matthew Castellini (Press Secretary), and John Dixon (Chief Marketing Advisor).

Mission Statement:
C.H.O.I.C.E.'s mission is to better the education of children in inner city schools through the donation of computers. The organization collects functional computers and assorted hardware, erases all the donor’s personal information from the computers-”wiping” them clean. C.H.O.I.C.E. donates this hardware to inner city schools in need. The computers given to the schools will create many new and exciting opportunities to underserved youth. 

The organization has impacted many different educational institutions through donations. So far, C.H.O.I.C.E. has donated computers to:

  • St. Sabina school- Chicago
  • St. Hyacinth school- Chicago
  • Hekima College- Nairobi, Kenya
  • Mundawanga Educational center in Zambia
  • St. Margaret of Scotland school in Oak Lawn
  • St. Elizabeth school in the Bronzville neighborhood
  • Our Lady of Tepeyac- Chicago

By becoming a donor, you are helping create brighter futures for numerous underprivileged youth within the inner city.

*** We will gladly accept printers and other hardware related equipment. Although we typically will not donate these things, we will use the funds raised from these to try and refurbish many of the older PC's we currently have.***
